An event at The Black Barn has an atmosphere of intimacy and elegance whilst still retaining that down to earth, relaxed kiwi charm.

The owners of The Black Barn, Shelley & Glenn, actually married here in 2012. This was well before the venue was restored and was simply a lined barn where they celebrated with their family and friends overlooking Lake Tarawera.
This is where the dream formed and since then, the venue has only gone from strength to strength with their drive and passion for continuing to better their venue services and offerings.
The Black Barn today is one of New Zealand’s leading venues in the wedding market and you only have to look at some of the images to see why!
